Target 1. Gather all information on Orson Welles for presentation script

How Orson Welles uses Cinematography to capture audience.

Fictionalized , Unrelentingly hostile parody of William Randolf Hearst.

C K was based upon the life of media tycoon WRH.

Directed by Welles, parts of Welles past is mirrored by the protagonist characters childhood. eg: fostered, abusive father, humble begginings

Cinematographer Gregg Toland noted for his creates shots that creates an artificial lighting situation such as that the character is lit in the background  and walks or runs through dark areas to the foreground, the result is so visually dramatic because a character moves , only barely visible, through vast pools of shadows, only to exit the panel very close to the camera, where his whole face is suddenly completely lit. Also noted for innovative use of lighting and techniques such as deep focus, that he portrays through Charles Kane. Citizen Kane’s visual brilliance was due primarily  to the contributions of toland.
distorted face of  distort faces in close up, espeacially during low key lighting sequences

Shallow Depth of field was used was used to separate the various planes, creating an impression of space, as well as implying what mattered in the frame by leaving the rest out of focus. he freely experimented on Citizen Kane creating deep focus, collaborating with set designer Perry Ferguson so ceilings would be visible in the frame

Two friends Gemma and Zoe enter scene as they are walking home from school through a deep, dark seductive forest.

They reach a crossroad where their journey together ends and this is where they go their separate ways. Whilst Gemma is slightly out of sight, Zoe has taken her route alone to a dead end, where she is being followed by a black attired human figure following her. From her instincts she sense’ a man presence tracking behind her, and to her relieve no one is there at her back,  till she continues towards her destination through the deep intimidating trees, the dark black figure appears behind her. She manages to fight back and run away. She runs behind a tree, where is positions herself discretely. Slowly and quietly picks up her phone, dials ’999′, as she hold the phone towards her ear she stands from her crouched position from the dusty ground, wipes her self off, while she concentrates on getting the dust off, the black figure suddenly grabs her by her neck and attacks till his won.

Cinematic idea

The idea behind my storyboard is to portray the last minutes of Zoe’s life through still images. By using still images, I aim to portray motion through each still movement. i will achieve this by taking shots for scene and applying it as if it were a book and recording it having the pages flipped over this will show movement through my still images.
